Vertimec 1.8%, an emulsifiable concentrate insecticide/miticide containing the active ingredient Abamectin. Eliminates all types of mites and leafminers, and is used against mites that have developed resistance to other pesticides. Vertimec has a unique mode of action distinguishing it from other products, working by contact and ingestion, taking about 3–4 days to reach maximum effectiveness. It penetrates and is stored within leaves, remaining effective for a long period; for best results the whole plant should be covered when spraying. Widely used in agriculture and ornamental horticulture, causing no damage or deformation to treated plants. It penetrates leaf tissue quickly, providing immediate protection for plants over extended periods without being washed off by rain, and its rapid leaf penetration allows beneficial insects the chance to feed on the pests without harm.
